Hi Guys
Sorry about the delay replying - computer troubles.
Yes there will be a League. The start has been delayed and we could not say much about why.
From an admin perspective the later start means the League will not now run over Christmas and New Year - which is great news for me because print deadlines over that period made it very hard indeed to set entry deadlines and respond to questions.
We have been waiting for a new sponsor for the League to confirm. An old premium brand has been bought back into British hands, it took time for that deal to be finalised and confirmed - it is now! Look for details in the forthcoming issue.

Both delighted and relieved to learn that the League isn't defunct, although I must say I think that the whole business has been poorly managed ... nothing in the magazine or on the forum to explain the position. Surely space could have been found in the November issue (which I'm sure was eagerly awaited by some 200 previous competitors)to appraise us of the position.
Clearly we are all having to endure a difficult financial climate, so with a thought to the future, does the League need a sponsor? From my own perspective, no, I would enter just through the desire to compete.
Sorry not to be at the BFFI, we have family staying for the weekend, good luck to KP in his marathon.
