Why no tying competition this year? I do hope that the 'Essential Challenge' isn't to be a substitute ........ Nick

Really? This is a bad news!!!I have been waiting for this since the last one finished .Maybe editor moved the start date forward and it will commence in December or in the New Year? So my November issue of the mag is only to bring this sad news when it arrives sometime soon Hubert |

| Yeah... what a disappointment! Mag drops through the door this very morn... tools at the ready and no comp! What's going on? Let's hope it has been moved forward... Magnus where are you to fill us in? |

Didn't it start in December last year?
There was a lot of discussion at the end of last years comp about the format for the next comp so it would surprise me and dissappoint me if it has been discontinued. |

I would be dissapointed if it is not to run this year, couldnt enter last year due to working commitments, so was looking forward to taking up the challenge in this years comp.

It would be a great shame if it didn't go ahead. I'm sure it was in the November issue last year, I remember buying bits and pieces at the Fly Fair.

You would think somebody from the mag would make the effort to respond to the concerns of their loyal customers?

I would of thought there may have been some feedback by now as it has been a very popular event, maybe the comp is going to be a non-runner and they dont want a slating, very much hope Im wrong.

Hi Guys
Sorry about the silence - computer trouble started the silence :) Followed by a change of sponsor and that depended on a business deal going through so we could not say much. Resolved now.

Thanks for the updated Magnus.
What does that mean for the league.

Mike,
Beats me, at age 53 I'm a junior member .... prehaps it's to do with perceived cranial ability. Magnus could maybe elucidate. Seriously, I can't wait for the 2010 League to commence, so many unknowns; the format, the sponsors, the divisions for tyers, and not least the patterns. I'm so, so, pleased that after a shakey start it is up and running again and sincerely hope that those who opted out last year will rejoin the fray. Nick |
