14/9/09 Again all quiet on the SW front in all departments on Lough Currane, and now to put the record straight, yesterday 13/0/09 I wrote that a guest fishing with Mr Michael O’Sullivan of Waterville boats and @ lobsterb@iol.ie caught a Salmon on the famous Butler Pool and of www.Watervillegolflinks.ie well this was incorrect, because he caught it today and the reason for my technical mistake, I mixed up my notes, sorry for that, but I am sure Michael wont mind the publicity. Wind WNW light to calm and bright sunshine throughout the day, max air temperature 18.8c.15/9/09 On Lough Currane, Mr Jim Mathews caught a Grilse and a few Seatrout with his Gillie Mr Mike O’Dwyer and Mike was telling me that there were also a few Seatrout caught by other boats. Wind ENE light with reasonable cloud cover, max air temperature 17.2c. 16/9/09 There were a few sea trout caught and I was reading on www.loughcurrane.com our manger Mr. John Murphy ESQ. reported that one boat caught 10 C&R Seatrout. Wind NNE light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover at times, max air temperature 17.1c.17/9/09 straight to the poaching department and www.loughcurrane.com and our Manger Mr. John Murphy is reporting some excellent Seatrout to the dry fly, fishing is at its best ether in early morning or in the late evening, with Mr John Hallstead catching the majority of the Seatrout, and just for the record John was in a hired out boat from www.Lakelandshouse.com Wind SSW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, max air temperature 16.3c. 18/9/09 Mr John Murphy reported that Mr Anthony O’Sullivan had 10 C&R Seatrout. Wind SSW light to calm and overcast with very light rain at times, max air temperature 14.4c. 19/9/09 staying in the poaching department, our manger Mr. John Murphy ESQ and of www.Loughcurrane.com is reporting some fine fishing, and in the words of Mr John Murphy, or as good as, Mr John Hallstead Fishing in a hired out boat from www.Lakelandshouse.com had another 10 C&R Seatrout Mr .Joe Barry, Mr Tom Aherne, Mr. Finbarr Walsh, Mr. Eddy Kelly caught 18 Seatrout up to 2.75lbs and finished the day off with a 10lbs Salmon , and in the specimen Seatrout department Mr. Anthony O’Sullivan caught a 10.5lbs Seatrout and staying in the Seatrout department Mr. Dave O’Neal caught 3 Seatrout up to 1.5lbs, also other boats reported up to 8 C&R Seatrout of which some them were in the 3lbs class. Wind Light to fresh NNE with bright sunshine with reasonable cloud cover at times. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 3.9mm, max air temperature 15.2c. 20/9/09 There were a few Seatrout caught, wind SW light and overcast for most of the day, max air temperature 16.3c.
