Several years ago I came across the tying for the Fraser Nymph. I had forgotten all about it intil Vic the baliff at my local water \powdermill in East Sussex recommended the tying for mayfly Nymphs.
For the life of me I cannot remember the tying.
If any can post the tying I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks

Flashfly.

The following pattern is taken from The Illustrated Dictionary of Trout Flies by John Roberts

Hook: Long shank 10-12 or nymph hook size 10-14
Thread: Fawn
Tail: Centre or side fibers from a hen pheasant tail
Body: Hen pheasant tail ribbebd with fawn thread
Thorax: Fine beige fur
Wing-case and legs: Hen pheasant tail fibres. The legs are formed by bending back the tips of the wing case fibres

The Olive Fraser Nymph is as above except for a rib of olive green thread and a thorax of fine olive fur. Dyed olive moleskin is recommended.
