Thus is one of the smaller forums ,not one to visit every hour ,some forums i visit have even less posters but have a deal of useful ness especially when you want some specialist info .
me I prefer the littler forums with less infighting the F+F wars can get a bit boring
If you want to visit occaisionally do so these boards can be rather informative

"Theres more to fishing than catching fish" is an interesting mantra.

"There's more to life than sitting on your sad butt at a computer all day and talking to similar who perhaps should get out and get a life more!" should, it appears, certainly become the war cry of some.

I have found this to be, like the magazine, an informative and helpful forum, which seems to be populated by people who have more to do than stare at a screen 24-7.

Personally I'd rather be fishin'.

Peter

"There's more to life than sitting on your sad butt at a computer all day and talking to similar who perhaps should get out and get a life more!"
Peter, surely one should get to know one before one starts throwing wild accusations about.
why do you say I have a sad butt? Do you know me or is it some sort of gay reference?
How can you say I sit at a computer all day, are you basing this statement on personal knowledge of me?
Why should I get out and get a life? Again I ask are you basing this statement on personal knowledge of me? How do you know I do not have a life????????
Surely it’s not to much to ask for a polite reply when one says hello, nothing much just something along the lines of “Hi braveheart my name is ***** and I am pleased to meet you” Perhaps even adding something along the lines of “I hope in the future we can get to know each other and share our knowledge and love of all things fishing”
Manners are free.

I'm afraid I based my comments on your own title for the origional post. Many of us don't get the chance to post all the time, unless we have somthing important to say.

However, in the interests of sociability and angling fraternity and all that goodstuff, Peter McCallum's my name sometimes known as Rabbit (Beartrix Potter an all that)hence Rabbit Angler. Occasional Trout angler & fly tyer and even more occasional Salmon caster - I find it is rarely worth expecting to catch the bloody things!!

Happy new year
Peter

I forgot to say...

"It is old but it is beautiful, it's red, it's white and it's blue
It's worn on the slopes of Ibrox Park, and a place called Parkhead too
My father wore it as a youth in the bygone days of yore
And it's on display every Saturday
Every time the Rangers score"

Up the rangers! ;-)

Rabbitangler, thank you for the proper introduction, pleased to meet you.
My real name is Dennis Shaw and I am Scottish, hence braveheart.
Like you I am a trout angler, fly tyer and occasional salmon angler, unlike you I do expect to catch the bloody things, hence the frequent look of disappointment on my face.

As for Fluke, you won’t get under my skin you b~#’’@ *&%$ $3%^&, I am much to relaxed and laid back to get upset.
And finally a song………..

For it was only Glasgow Celtic bhoys,
Oh their colours white and green,
They are the greatest in the land,
They’ve really got a team,
You can keep United, Tottenham and your Liverpool as well,
For Glasgow Celtic are the bhoys,
To give them bloody hell.

But Rabbi,

I've never even been to Glasgow... I'm a little more English than braveheart3 and as such can't resist throwing him the odd nut ;-)

Cheers,
