Get your vices and materials ready! This year's Fly Tying League has some superb prizes including a fantastic holiday on Norway's famous river Namsen, and a unique tackle prize of a hand-made £1,000 reel. It will be the biggest prize-value fly-tying competition FF&FT has ever held! Full announcement in the November 2008 issue.

Magnus, On reflection I suppose it means any fly shown or mentioned because there is no reference to a picture .... a fourth Yellow Dancer prehaps? The very thought of it makes my blood run cold!!

Billy, Thanks for the crit'. Having consulted my (rather old) dictionary I am now aware that the word "depicted" encompasses not only images, sculptures and drawings but also text references to the given subject. Every day is a school day, and all the better for being so.

Ok Nick - are we clear it means any fly in the mag - I don't care which fly. I'd suggest a fourth Yellow Dance will just cause me to snort hot coffee onto your entry - all of them!
You know the drill Nick but for anyone reading who hasn't been here before - choose a fly which which lets you demonstrate your skills. |

Hi Magnus
